Who has every googled some strange symptom their child had and quickly descended down the rabbit hole of (often terrifying) information? Who has ever felt insecure at doctor's appointments because they cannot say that they are feeding their one-year-old three nutritious meals a day, reading them 20 books, giving them zero screen time, having them hit every milestone at precisely the correct month, oh and also, maintaining her own nutrition, sleep, and figure? I have read in a book that sleep training is effective and non-damaging; while, I have listened to a podcast that says sleep training ruins the bond between mother and child. I have spoken to one maternity doctor who advised me against a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian section) because it is too dangerous; then, spoke with another doctor that advised me I am the perfect candidate for a successful VBAC.

The internet, medical system, and social media are filled with polarizing views that are confusing and weigh heavily on the confidence of mothers. This advice that we are often given are from "experts". What has happened to motherly intuition? What has happened to the tried and true wisdom of the mothers before us?
I want to hear from the real experts - I want to hear from the regular moms! The moms who are in the trenches. I want to know the creative solutions that were born of necessity and survival. The Motherhood needs a space where wisdom, knowledge, and experience are shared. A space where successes and failures are celebrated - we are all out here literally just trying our best.
My vision, my dream, my hope for this space is:
The True Experts
I want you, regular moms, to be the experts. I will post questions about parenting, postpartum, or relationships, and gather all of your wisdom. Your responses are vital to this process! After conducting my "research" (reading every single word of wisdom you have chosen to share with me) I will create an easy to read summary of information. You have lived through this, you have done the trial and error, you are the expert and I call on you to share your knowledge.
Hearing From The Regular Moms
Although all of us have experienced different paths to motherhood, different birth stories, and live different lifestyles, there is something unifying in our DNA that links us together. We have experiences and emotions that only mothers will understand. Being a mother can be isolating, we often feel alone, we fear that we are the only one going through these difficulties. Picture this: a mom is up at 3AM with her newborn, while scrolling through instagram sees picture after picture of other moms doing extravagant things with their children while also looking runway ready. This mother, exhausted and already feeling insecure about herself, feels alone. But she is not. The Motherhood is here. A working mom, stay at home mom, mother of one child, mother of multiples, and adoptive mother all are bonded together by the inexplainable transformation of being a mother. Let's share these experiences, let's learn from our differences and celebrate our unity, let's embrace the uniqueness of each and every mother trying her best in this world. To do this, I will interview moms of different lifestyles and share with everyone in The Motherhood to allow us all to learn from on another as nature intended.
Then There Is Just Me
To foster the sense of unity and candidness, I will share my thoughts, questions, observations, celebrations and failures with The Motherhood. My intension is to create conversation between all of us. For that mom at 3AM to know she is not alone; we have all either been there, are there, or are anticipating arriving there.

There is beauty in our diversity, there is strength in our adversities, there is wisdom in our story. I encourage everyone reading this to share their knowledge and experiences with others within The Motherhood. A mother's intuition is powerful - imagine how powerful we can be unified.
Working mama of two sweet boys. So excited to be a part of the Motherhood!
I'm a regular mom! You nailed it - there is too much information, judgement, and unrealistic expectations out there. The world needs a supportive and loving space like this. Can't wait!
Love this concept! We can all learn so much from each other! Looking forward to being part of the Motherhood! ❤️
I’m a regular mom/grandparent! Supporting each other is powerful!
